Covid-19 Update: India Records 5.2% Hike In Fresh Cases.12,847 Infections Reported In Last 24 Hrs

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, India recorded 12,847 new cases of Covid-19, a 5.2% rise over the previous day, bringing the overall caseload to 4,32,70,577. 14 fatalities were recorded across the country in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of reported deaths to 5,24,817, news agency ANI reported.

In the previous 24 hours, 7,985 patients recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,26,82,697 across the country. India's recovery rate is presently 98.64 percent.

The top five states in terms of new Covid-19 cases are Maharashtra with 4,255 cases, Kerala with 3,419 cases, Delhi with 1,323 cases, Karnataka with 833 cases, and Haryana with 625 cases.

These five states have reported 81.37 percent of the new Covid-19 cases, with Maharashtra alone accounting for 33.12 percent of the new cases.

India currently has 63,063 active cases. Active cases have climbed by 4,848 in the previous 24 hours.

In the previous 24 hours, India has delivered a total of 15,27,365 doses, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,95,84,03,471. In the previous 24 hours, a total of 5,19,903 samples were examined.
